Product Description

1.What is Iron Removal?

Typically, high levels of iron in groundwater leads to significant risks to the safety of water quality. Also iron in the drinking water may leads to a metallic taste, discoloration and buildup in plumbing and appliances as well.
AquaPure Iron Removal effectively removes iron through oxidizing the iron and precipitating it out of the water, ensuring your water is clear and free from iron-related problems.

2.How does Iron Removal Filtration Works- Catalytic Oxidation

AquaPure Iron Removal filters works through an catalytic oxidation process. This helps soluble Fe2+  into insoluble Fe3+ . This reaction oxidizes the impurities converting them into particles that are easily filtered out. The water then flows through the filter resulting in clean and safe drinking water.

Catalytic Oxidation (CO) is recommended for iron removal in well water, with or without manganese. This method requires adding a controlled amount of Cl2 or another strong oxidant directly to the raw water.
For this  operation, the demand can be evaluated as follows:

3.Recommended Operation Conditions
Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide Removal From Groundwater Supplies

01.Filtration Bed Type
Dual media: anthracite 15-18 in. (381 mm - 457 mm) and iron removal 15-24 in. (381 mm - 610 mm)

02.Backwash
Ensure treated water applied at a rate that achieves 40% bed expansion, continuing until the water is clear or for 10 minutes, whichever comes first.

03.Flow Rate
Recommended flow rates with CO operation are 2-12 gpm/sq. ft. (4.9 m/hr - 29.4 m/hr).

04.Regeneration

05.Water PH
Raw water with a natural pH of 6.2 or higher can be filtered through  Iron Removal without requiring pH adjustment. For raw water with a pH below 6.2, it should be adjusted to 6.5-6.8 before filtration. If a higher pH is desired in the treated water, additional alkali can be added after filtration. This avoids potential adverse reactions and the formation of colloidal precipitates, which may occur when iron and alkali interact at a pH above 6.8.

4.Where can you use Iron Removal?

Iron Removal mainly used for groundwater purification, drinking wate like food ,dairy, beverage bottled water systems,Industrial water systems like power, printing chemical industries etc.
